A leaked bit of info from Zenless Zone Zero suggests that players might be in for a treat with the arrival of a free Bangboo in the game’s Version 1.7. Since its launch, Zenless Zone Zero has already introduced a fleet of 30 of these charming little robots, and whispers in the community indicate that more are set to make their debut in the upcoming update.

Bangboo have become a beloved aspect of Zenless Zone Zero, not just for their cute designs but also for their distinctive abilities in battle. These clever companions can even team up with top-tier characters, making tackling the game’s challenges a lot simpler. Similar to the main characters, Bangboo are categorized by rarity, with both S-Rank and A-Rank types, and they’re mainly acquired through a banner system. Excitingly, the buzz suggests that a brand-new Bangboo might be available for free in an upcoming patch.

Spurring on this enthusiasm, a noted leaker by the name of Palito has claimed that players might soon get their hands on Overtimeboo, a fresh combat Bangboo, as a complimentary addition in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7. The report indicates that by engaging in a special in-game event, players will be able to add Overtimeboo to their collection. Earlier rumblings hinted that Overtimeboo could be an A-Rank unit, while another new arrival, Robin—a companion to Hugo Vlad—might represent an S-Rank addition to the roster.

Bangboo have taken on more significant roles beyond just assisting in combat, thanks to a series of exclusive events. Take, for example, the Bangboo dress-up contest during the 1.5 update, where fans were first introduced to Hugo Vlad and Robin in the game.
