The beginning of the year has seen a pretty steady performance from Xbox Game Pass. January seemed a bit slow initially, but it quickly picked up steam with unexpected hits like Sniper Elite: Resistance, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector making a splash at the end. February unfolded similarly, with an early lull followed by a late surge thanks to Avowed, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, and Watch Dogs Legion.
Looking ahead at March, it appears we might face a similar scenario. So far, Atomfall is the only title confirmed to hit Xbox Game Pass and it’s not due until March 27. While this survival game from Rebellion is generating some buzz, it probably won’t be enough to keep subscribers thoroughly engaged throughout the month. There’s definitely room for a few more exciting additions to the roster.

Expected to release on March 20, 2025, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition is finally making its way to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. This refreshed take on the 2004 classic, initially launched on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2020, brings with it the complete game including the "Soaked!" and "Wild!" expansions. Given that Planet Coaster hasn’t been part of the Game Pass lineup since 2021, this theme park sim would be a fantastic addition.

Now seems like the ideal moment to fulfill that wish. Despite being nearly two years old, the game remains a hot topic among fans, and adding it to Game Pass would allow subscribers to finally experience the excitement for themselves.

March 2025 is all set for a blockbuster launch with the coming of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, an intricate action-RPG set in Feudal Japan. Although it’s unlikely that Shadows will join Game Pass soon, bringing in Assassin’s Creed Mirage could be a delightful alternative. This smaller-scale adventure could serve as a perfect primer in anticipation of Shadows’ grand debut.
Xbox Game Pass Wish List for March 2025: Civilization Revolution
February 2025 saw the release of Civilization 7, stirring varied responses among fans. Some welcome its fresh twists on the series’ core gameplay, while others miss some of the beloved classic elements. Its appeal largely seems more tuned to newcomers. But if we’re talking about true entry-level Civilization, nothing tops the 2008 spinoff, Civilization Revolution. Already available via backward compatibility on Xbox, adding it to Game Pass this month would be a great move.
