Come March, prepare for another edition of the VR Games Showcase. The organizers are teasing us with promises of their “biggest line-up yet” featuring a vast array of XR games.
While we’re still waiting for the exact date of the event, rest assured, more updates are on the horizon as hinted in their latest post on X. As with previous showcases, anticipation builds around which studios will be making an appearance, offering clues on what we can expect to see. A strong focus will likely be placed on Quest games, but don’t fret—PSVR 2 and PC VR titles are sure to have their moments in the spotlight as well.
Reflecting on last year’s edition, the VR Games Showcase was quite the spectacle, brimming with game announcements and updates. We saw amazing gameplay reveals such as HITMAN III: Reloaded, Vertigo Games’ Arizona Sunshine Remake, and Fast Travel Games’ Action Hero. There were also captivating trailers, including one for the survival game GRIM, akin to Rust, and unveilings from seven different studios boasting over 15 titles in total.
Shortly after, the event continued with an ‘XR Indies and Friends’ showcase. This follow-up brought fresh details about Innerspace VR’s One True Path, presented gameplay from Cyborn’s MR adventure Wall Town Wonders, featured a trailer for the VR adaptation of Ovid Works’ Kafka-inspired Metamorphosis, and displayed gameplay from Just Add Water’s arcade digging sim DIG VR.
As excitement builds, we’re keeping tabs on the VR Games Showcase YouTube channel, where they’ll be streaming live. As we inch closer to March, any breaking news or announcements will definitely be worth checking out.
