Which is more terrifying: grappling with the controls of an N64 FPS or realizing it’s been almost 18 months since the last update for Genesis?
Tonight, we see the arrival of two first-person shooters with ties to Iguana on the N64’s “mature” app. Turok 2: The Seeds of Evil from 1998 and Shadow Man from 1999, crafted by Acclaim’s Iguana studios—Turok in the U.S. and Shadow Man in the U.K.—are now up for grabs on the NSO app, but only for those aged 17 and over. This marks the third expansion pack update of the month, following the introductions of F-Zero GP Legend / Climax and last week’s addition of Banjo-Tooie.
Interestingly, both Turok 2 and Shadow Man have already seen new life on the Switch with remastered versions, Turok 2 making its comeback in 2019 and Shadow Man joining the lineup in 2022.
