Alien: Rogue Incursion has made its grand debut today, landing on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while fans eagerly await the Quest version scheduled to release in February next year. In exciting news, the developers at Survios have revealed they’re already hard at work on ‘Part Two’.
Having thoroughly explored Part One in our review, we awarded it a respectable [7/10]. The game shines with its captivating atmosphere and compelling storyline, though it does get bogged down by some repetitive enemy battles and a save system that can be quite unforgiving.
The first part has enough substance to stand alone, offering about eight hours of gameplay packed with Xenomorphs and engaging narrative twists. But once you reach the conclusion, it’s clear you’ll be yearning for Part Two to continue the action.
Though specifics remain under wraps, hints suggest we’re in for some refreshing variety beyond the similar Xenomorph packs seen in Part One. Survios has teased that Part Two will “continue Zula’s story, pitting her against deadlier foes and tougher challenges,” and it’s already being developed.
Before we dive into Part Two, the Quest release of Part One is on the horizon, set to exclusively launch on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Transposing all those intricately designed levels, textures, and physics-based interactions onto the Quest 3’s mobile hardware is no small feat, which likely explains the initial delays.
With the core systems already established in Part One, we’re hopeful for a quick turnaround for Zula Hendricks’ next, potentially final showdown to rid the rogue science station of every last Xenomorph menace.
