Combat Waffle, the creative minds behind Ghosts of Tabor, is gearing up to release their new VR shooter, Silent North. This thrilling game, full of multiplayer zombie mayhem, is set to make its debut with early access on Quest and Steam sometime in March.
Brought to you by Beyond Frames Entertainment, Silent North transports players to the chilly heights of the Swiss Alps. Here, you’ll face a grim reality not only plagued by zombies but also the ever-present danger of humanity, constantly looking to loot and kill—all in a bid for survival.
In this hostile environment, players need to choose their path wisely: team up with others or brave it alone, as you rummage through ruins for supplies and fend off an “endless army of ravenous corpses.”
“Silent North is packed with PVPVE action, so getting out unscathed is never easy,” reads the lively game description. “Whether you’re navigating treacherous mountain trails or wide open plains, prepare for heart-pounding firefights. Survival isn’t just about battling the undead; you’ll also have to outwit or outgun other players hiding in the shadows, waiting for their moment to strike.”
The game is now up for pre-orders on the Horizon Store at an introductory price of $17—down from the expected $20 at full launch. And for those eagerly waiting on Steam, Silent North is available to wishlist with a similar 15% discount on the horizon.
While the game’s early access rolls out in March on Steam and the Horizon Store, fans of PSVR 2 and Pico headsets will have to wait a bit longer as there’s no specific launch date for other VR platforms yet.
An update on February 21st, 2024 confirms the March release, although the exact date remains a mystery for now. So, gear up and keep your eyes peeled for when Silent North drops and invites you into its immersive survival experience.
