PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members have a lot to look forward to this year, as four exciting games are set to join the Game Catalog perk upon their release. One of the highlights includes Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming title, FBC: Firebreak, an engaging multiplayer first-person shooter, which has announced a new release window in Summer 2025.
Set in the enigmatic Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, FBC: Firebreak marks a shift from the rich storytelling experience Remedy is known for, seen in their acclaimed game Control. Instead, the focus here is squarely on dynamic gameplay. Interestingly, Remedy is taking a fresh approach to the live-service model by eliminating the notorious fear-of-missing-out factor. All the game content will be free, allowing players to dive in and enjoy at their own pace without the pressure of missing out on limited-time events.
A newly released trailer showcases the Paper Chase Job, one of the many missions you’ll encounter in FBC: Firebreak. This particular mission tasks the Firebreak Initiative with clearing out a section of The Oldest House overrun by unruly rogue sticky notes. The footage also gives us a glimpse of the loadouts that players can utilize to keep the ever-present Hiss threat under control.
Upon its launch, players can enjoy FBC: Firebreak on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both the Epic Games Store and Steam.
But that’s not all—the Game Catalog is getting even richer with three other intriguing titles. Players can also look forward to exploring Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. Right now, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can dive into the first part of Lost Records, with its second installment arriving next month.
Moreover, PlayStation Plus members get the added bonus of gaining early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale, offering some fantastic deals on popular games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. There’s never been a better time to be a subscriber!
