Rebellion is gearing up to launch its first VR installment for the Zombie Army series, bringing the thrill of co-op zombie battling to the virtual world. Fans can look forward to diving into this intense experience on major VR platforms like Quest 2 and newer versions, PSVR 2, and SteamVR starting May 22nd.
In Zombie Army VR, you join the ranks of the Deadhunters, an elite force tasked with fighting against a zombie apocalypse. The mission is clear: trek through the undead-infested ruins near Nuremberg and assist Captain Hermann Wolff, their iconic leader, as he searches for his missing family and strives to liberate Europe from the zombie menace.
Rebellion promises a gripping, story-driven campaign that you can tackle alone or with a friend in two-player co-op mode. Players will have access to a formidable arsenal inspired by World War II, featuring sniper rifles, submachine guns, and pistols that you can wield simultaneously and even manually reload.
As you progress, you can earn experience points to boost your Deadhunter’s skills. Weapon Upgrade kits will also be available, enabling players to tweak their weapons’ range, accuracy, scope, and capacity.
Be ready to face fierce foes beyond the typical Nazi zombies, including formidable Armored Giants, explosive Suiciders, and cunning Sniper Zombies. Gamers will also enjoy the return of the thrilling X-ray Kill Cam, reminiscent of Rebellion’s Sniper Elite VR, which lets you savor those long-range shots in cinematic slow motion.
Pre-orders for Zombie Army VR are open now on the Horizon Store for Quest 2, the PlayStation Store for PSVR 2, and Steam for PC VR headsets. Take advantage of a limited-time offer to snag the game at 10% off its usual $30 price.
