Retailers have jumped on the bandwagon and started rolling out pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to the original portable home console that’s captured global attention.
Though we’re still in the dark about an official price or how much stock each retailer will actually have, for now, they’re inviting eager fans to sign up for email alerts. This way, you’ll be the first to know when those precious Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders officially open up.
Best Buy was quick off the mark, offering this option in both the United States and Canada. Over in the UK, ShopTo is asking for a mere penny to register your interest. However, they’ve made it clear that while this small fee puts you in line, it’s not a guarantee of stock. If they can’t fulfill your order, don’t worry—they’ll kindly refund that 1p.
We’re all playing the waiting game when it comes to when pre-orders will truly be available. However, mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. That’s when Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct focused on the Switch 2, revealing more details about what’s in store for the console. Fingers crossed you’ll be able to lock in a pre-order shortly after the presentation wraps up.
We’re committed to keeping this post updated with any new information about retailers offering pre-order registrations. As soon as more options become available or things go live, you’ll hear it from us. And hey, if you spot any updates before we do, don’t hesitate to share in the comments!
