Has it really been a whole year since Palworld hit early access? Time sure flies when you’re having fun—or when you’re utterly shocked by Pokémon wielding firearms! Although the initial hype might have cooled a bit, Palworld hasn’t been sitting idle. They’ve been rolling out updates regularly, even if they’ve hit a few bumps, like that pesky lawsuit from The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. But fear not, that hasn’t stopped them from planning more exciting features!
Just recently, the game’s official Twitter page unveiled a new roadmap outlining what’s next. And let me tell you, there’s some exciting stuff on the horizon. First up, co-op crossplay is set to make its debut, which is music to the ears of many fans. You’ll also be able to transfer your beloved Pals to different worlds. A final boss fight and an intriguing ending scenario are in the works to add depth to the narrative. Plus, more ways to boost your Pals and cool new technologies are on the list. Not to mention, they’re planning multiple game collaborations—yes, plural! The Terraria team-up last year? Apparently just the beginning. Besides that, they’re making improvements to an array of features, ranging from Pals and UX to world object placement.
And if you’re wondering when all these goodies will make their way into the game, well, that’s still a mystery. The developers have put out a “this is what we’re tackling” list rather than providing a detailed timeline. In the meantime, Palworld is hosting its first global popularity poll, so now’s your chance to vote for your favorite Pal. Personally, I’ve got my money on that Totoro-esque Pal with the gatling gun—what’s more iconic than that?
Stay tuned, as Palworld’s journey from early access is shaping up to be quite the adventure!
