NVIDIA and AMD are gearing up to release their more affordable graphics cards next month, aiming to capture the attention of everyday gamers.
Upcoming Releases from NVIDIA and AMD: The RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT
Finding a reasonably priced GPU has been challenging lately, especially with NVIDIA’s latest stock running low and prices soaring above the suggested retail. AMD’s RX 9070 series has also seen high demand, making them tricky to snag at their intended price. But now, reports suggest both companies are set to introduce new GPUs specifically for budget-conscious gamers soon.
NVIDIA is expected to unveil the GeForce RTX 5060 on May 19. This model will feature 8 GB of GDDR7 memory, operating at 28 Gbps over a 128-bit memory bus. Compared to the previous RTX 4060, this new card will not only consume more power but will also offer enhancements in several areas:
- 25% more CUDA cores
- Identical memory size
- Quicker GDDR7 memory
- 64% more bandwidth
- 30% higher power usage
On the AMD front, the spotlight is on the Radeon RX 9060 XT, anticipated to be announced on May 21 at Computex, with an expected retail release by June. This GPU will use the Navi 44 architecture on a 128-bit bus and will be available in both 8GB and 16GB versions. It includes 2,048 stream processors, which is half of what the RX 9070 XT offers. Running with game clock speeds at 2620 MHz and boosting up to 3230 MHz, it promises solid performance for 1080p and 2K gaming.
Our team will provide live updates on these launches straight from the Computex 2025 event. With both NVIDIA and AMD introducing new options, May is shaping up to be an exciting month for graphics card enthusiasts.
