Nintendo Releases – November 14, 2024 – Updates

Last week, there was a little nugget we overlooked: Namco’s classic game, The Quest of Ki, joining the Archives. Apart from that, everything else was covered on RFN 900.

It’s become somewhat of a trend with the Horizon series to be released alongside a blockbuster title. The original found itself launching just before Breath of the Wild, the sequel had to contend with Elden Ring (not necessarily saying these are the best games, but they’re definitely big ones), and now, the overly generous remaster came out right alongside another installment of Dragon Age. This week, the pattern continues. Lego Horizon Adventures has its thunder stolen (at least for this column) by the powerhouse duo of Dragon Quest III HD-2D and Tetris Forever. Willem has already laid down his thoughts on the latter, while a review for Dragon Quest III is promised to be coming soon.

Keeping an eye on other releases this week: Petit Island might ring a bell for those who caught the Wholesome Direct at half-speed. Additionally, a new trio of Irem shooters is being packaged together, and the EggConsole presents yet another take on the original Ys game.
