A fresh teaser for Alien: Earth has just dropped, and while it doesn’t reveal much, at least we have a release window to look forward to.
Every time we get a glimpse of Alien: Earth, it feels like we’re no closer to actually seeing the full picture. The initial teaser mainly highlighted the Alien and Earth, while this latest one is so brief you could easily miss it if you blinked. Released earlier today, the new teaser feels like a reimagined version of the first, featuring a familiar scene where Earth’s reflection glimmers on the xenomorph’s glossy head. A voiceover delivers a cheeky line: “In 2120, mother Earth is expecting.” So, what’s she expecting? Well, it’s a clever twist on a pregnancy joke, but the punchline is that it’s actually an alien. It’s a bit odd considering the series’ typically dark tone, but I’m not in marketing, so what do I know?
Beyond that, the teaser is filled with quick, glitchy clips of alien-like images—not necessarily the xenomorph—and someone screaming. It’s hard to gather much from it, but it does provide one helpful nugget of information: Alien: Earth is slated to hit Hulu in the summer of 2025. Until now, all we knew was that it was coming next year, so this narrows it down a bit, which is nice. We’ll have to sit tight for a full trailer and an exact release date. Given it’s a Hulu release, folks in the UK and elsewhere will likely see it on Disney+, assuming you switch off the family-friendly filter.
The Alien franchise has been on a roll lately, with Alien: Romulus being popular enough to secure a sequel. There might even be another Alien vs. Predator under wraps, especially since the Predator series is experiencing a revival. The upcoming Predator film, Badlands, is set to debut next year, promising to put the iconic alien in the spotlight once more.
