World of Assassination, the central hub for the latest Hitman trilogy, has successfully pulled in more than 75 million players so far.
This impressive number comes from none other than the developer and publisher IO Interactive, who disclosed that the game had hit a peak of one million active users last December.
Originally launching in 2021 as Hitman 3, the game underwent a transformation to include content from the 2016 Hitman reboot and its sequel from 2017.
“Thanks to ongoing updates and a passionate community, Hitman World of Assassination remains as engaging as ever,” IO shared.
The company is also looking ahead, announcing that players can expect even more content to be rolled out in 2025, promising endless hours of Hitman adventures.
In recent updates, IO introduced an exciting mission where players get the chance to take down 80s and 90s action legend Jean-Claude Van Damme. Remarkably, about 40 percent of participants have managed to successfully complete this unique target mission.
