A recent warning from Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani might just confirm their suspicions that something big is on the horizon.

For those not following closely, there’s been a series of strange occurrences that players suspect could be leading up to a major event, like the Meridia black hole suddenly making a move towards Super Earth. This could coincide with the Illuminate launching a massive new offensive. With the game’s one-year anniversary coming up on February 8, it would indeed be a dramatic way to commemorate the occasion.

Recently, the chatter among players was sparked by a comment from Jorjani on the game’s Discord server. He gave a shout-out, saying, “I just wanna give you folks a big props for the DSS maneuver you did,” in reference to the battles players had successfully fought against the jet brigade on Menkent and Lesath. He added, “Brilliant move. J.O.E.L. is out to get you now.” Not exactly reassuring, right?

This has led to a flurry of activity on Reddit, with players arming themselves, anticipating that something new is about to shake things up in the next day or so. There’s been some humor mixed with the tension, with some suggesting that Jorjani’s hint could lead to a scenario akin to Davy Jones summoning the Kraken.
