This exciting development was announced through a sleek video featuring FF14 director and producer Naoki Yoshida, along with a teaser trailer. The mobile adaptation is being crafted by Lightspeed Studios, a Tencent-owned company well-versed in mobile gaming, thanks to their work on PUBG Mobile.

Yoshida is confident about the port, describing the enthusiasm and dedication at Lightspeed Studios in bringing the game’s narrative, duties, and battle elements to life on smaller screens. He encouraged both existing players and newcomers to look forward to this new chapter, even if it means making some adjustments from the original game, which came out 11 years ago.

The freshly launched Final Fantasy 14 Mobile website promises an engaging start with nine jobs available right off the bat, plus extras like fishing, Triple Triad, and the ever-charming chocobo racing. Crafting and gathering enthusiasts won’t be left out, with 11 classes ready for alchemists, miners, and more. Additionally, there’s an option for home customization, perfect for fans of interior design.

In a reveal trailer shared by the official FFXIV Mobile Twitter account, licensed by Square Enix and developed by Lightspeed Studios, the vibrant world of Eorzea is coming to mobile screens. This means you can now carry that expansive universe right in your pocket.

Visually, players can expect a stunning experience with over 600 weather patterns across dynamic landscapes, alongside carefully optimized character and gear designs that aim to capture the essence of the original game.
