Cyberpunk 2077, the ambitious sci-fi RPG that took the gaming world by storm, has now surpassed 30 million copies in sales. This impressive milestone was shared by CD Projekt’s CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, as part of the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September, according to a report by VGC.
In addition to the game’s success, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also been making waves, selling over eight million units. It’s clear that fans are fully invested in the ever-expanding Cyberpunk universe.
Looking ahead, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to make its debut on Mac devices shortly, powered by the impressive Apple Silicon chips. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, there’s another animation project in the works, set within the vibrant Cyberpunk world.
“I have some great updates direct from Night City,” Nielubowicz announced with enthusiasm. “The sales journey of Cyberpunk 2077 reaching over 30 million, alongside Phantom Liberty’s eight million-unit mark, really highlights the vast community and interest surrounding the Cyberpunk world.
“These figures are crucial to us, especially as we prepare to launch the game and expansion on Mac devices next year,” he added. “I’m thrilled to share that we’re also developing another animated series for Netflix set in the Cyberpunk universe, so fans have lots to look forward to.”
The future certainly looks bright for Cyberpunk enthusiasts, with both tangible sales accomplishments and exciting new projects on the horizon.
