Just yesterday, Bigscreen opened up orders for their anticipated Beyond 2 PC VR headset, capturing the attention of virtual reality enthusiasts with its enhanced field-of-view and clarity, thanks to a cutting-edge pancake lens design. The sales response has been nothing short of remarkable. Within just 10 hours of its release, Beyond 2 managed to surpass the sales of its predecessor, showcasing a tremendous uptake in popularity.
Bigscreen took to social media, particularly X, to share the impressive figures on how Beyond 2 has captivated the PC VR community. “In the first 25 minutes alone, Beyond 2 outsold what Beyond 1 did in its entire first day. And by the end of the first hour, our sales had already doubled,” the company shared with excitement.
As the day unfolded, additional details emerged about the sales performance of both Beyond 2 and its variant, Beyond 2e. The most striking update came later, as it was revealed that within merely 10 hours of its launch, Beyond 2 had already sold more units than Beyond 1 did in its first four months.
For visual enthusiasts, a stunning image of the headset accompanied the announcement, highlighting its sleek “Halo Mount” design.
Currently, as it stands, both Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e have shipping schedules already pushed to June 2025. This has far exceeded the initial projections for April and May shipments, underscoring the immense demand.
But what exactly is driving the enthusiasm for Beyond 2? Beyond the specifications, a significant factor is likely the seamless upgrade path Bigscreen has designed. Existing Beyond 1 owners can snag the new headset at discounted prices—$849 for Beyond 2 and $1049 for Beyond 2e. Plus, there’s ease of compatibility, as most Beyond 1 accessories, including the custom facial interface, are still usable.
Beyond 2 itself boasts some impressive features: a newly engineered pancake lens with a broader 116-degree diagonal field-of-view, an adjustable IPD setup, and a notably lighter weight of 107 grams. Add to that the AI-powered eye-tracking feature in the 2e model, and both continue to use the dual 1-inch 2,560 × 2,560 micro-OLED displays from the original model, though with enhanced clarity and field-of-view.
Priced at $1,019 and $1,219 for the Beyond 2 and 2e, respectively, these headsets were also introduced with a novel halo-style mount and Lightblocker facial interface, expected to debut in Q3 2025.
For those eager to get their hands on these cutting-edge VR headsets, they’re all available for purchase on Bigscreen’s official website.
