2K Games has recently taken the step of removing its launcher from all the titles it has released on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
A month prior, 2K announced plans to phase out this technology come November, alongside the removal of a beta version of the program associated with Sid Meier’s Civilization 5.
In a recent blog post, 2K shared, “We’ve taken care of the groundwork, but for the complete transition, you might need to pitch in a bit. Start by fully closing and reopening Steam—not just minimizing with the X button.”
They further advised, “Rebooting your PC is an effective way to ensure the change takes place. As for those using Epic, just verify you’ve installed the latest game update.”
With this update, games such as BioShock Remastered, BioShock 2 Remastered, BioShock Infinite, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns will launch directly when players hit play, streamlining the gaming experience.
