As the exciting GT calendar unfolds, we find ourselves thrilled to be heading to Amsterdam in the Netherlands for the much-anticipated World Finals of the Gran Turismo World Series 2024. The tension is palpable as, after a series of thrilling races in Montreal, Prague, and Tokyo over the past months, the leaderboard is incredibly tight. Now, it’s back to the Theater Amsterdam, the very venue that hosted last year’s intense World Series Showdown.
To kick off the finals weekend, we have the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup scheduled for 4:00 PM CET on Friday, December 7th. It’s more than just a warm-up; it’s a high-stakes competition featuring a mix of seasoned World Series pros eager to leave their mark, as well as fresh faces on the international racing scene. With 24 racers battling it out in two heats, only the best will emerge to claim the 2024 champion title in the Grand Final.
Leading the charge in the Manufacturers Cup is Team Lexus. However, they’re facing a major change as their star, Igor Fraga of Brazil, winner of Round 1 in Montreal, has racing obligations in Japan. Harald Walsen from Chile will step in, while Team Porsche, just four points behind, will push hard, fending off Team BMW, which is right on their heels with only a single point separating them.
In Amsterdam, team dynamics will shift as all three drivers from each manufacturer will come together to strategize and share the driving duties. Fans can catch the Manufacturers Cup action live at 7:00 PM CET on Friday.
Then, don’t miss the Nations Cup taking center stage on Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 PM CET. Frenchman Kylian Drumont soared to the top after his impeccable win in Tokyo. But it’s a narrow lead—just one point—over a formidable second-place tie between Spain’s Jose Serrano, Montreal victor Takuma Miyazono from Japan, and Prague’s Round 2 winner, Italy’s Valerio Gallo.
This riveting action unravels before a live audience in Theater Amsterdam. But if you can’t be there in person, fear not—live streams will bring the excitement straight to you.
For those looking to dive deeper into the excitement, the World Finals special page is the place to visit for more info, and you can watch all the thrilling races there as well.
In addition to watching, there are plenty of interactive ways to get involved with Gran Turismo 7. The Predict the Winners campaign in GT7 allows players to click a banner on the World Map to cast their votes for each event, with a chance to earn a million credits per Cup, right up until the finals begin.
Merely tuning into the broadcast in-game can also unlock special gifts through the Viewers Gift campaign. Furthermore, players can jump into two exclusive challenges in Gran Turismo 7 that mirror the World Finals car and track combos: Red Bull X2019 at Nürburgring 24h and Gr.3 at Spa-Francorchamps.
Just remember, there’s a limit of one entry per PlayStation Network account for the Predict the Winners campaign, and once submitted, entries cannot be retracted or changed.
