A couple of months ago, Renji, the founder of Immersed, texted me about basketball, and our conversation took an unexpected turn when he proposed I join his team. At first, I took it lightly. However, Renji’s passion made a lasting impression. I spent several days contemplating the offer, discussing it with my closest friends and mentors. Despite enjoying a relaxed lifestyle post-sale, something about this opportunity seemed unique.
Encouraged by my circle, I decided to dive in. Though the salary was lower than I was used to, equity was on the table, which, though potentially not immediately profitable, spoke to long-term growth—a chance to contribute to something big. It only took a hands-on session with their creations for everything to click into place for me.
That’s when I encountered Visor, the XR device from Immersed. Before this, XR wasn’t my main focus—I only dabbled in AR/VR and bought an Apple Vision Pro out of curiosity. The Visor, however, completely changed my perspective.
