TinyBuild, a well-known name in game development and publishing, has made a strategic move by selling its quality assurance company, Red Cerberus. The new owner, TestFly, a specialist in game testing, purchased Red Cerberus for $1.5 million in cash upon the deal’s conclusion.
Kevin Chelius, the CEO of TestFly, expressed enthusiasm about the new acquisition, emphasizing how Red Cerberus’ skills and industry reputation fit perfectly with TestFly’s aim to elevate game testing standards. Chelius highlighted that this addition would not only help developers and publishers offer dependable, high-quality gaming experiences worldwide but also enhance TestFly’s foothold in Latin America.
Commenting on the sale, TinyBuild’s CEO, Alex Nichiporchik, described it as a significant move in refining the company’s focus. By selling Red Cerberus, TinyBuild aims to concentrate on its primary strength—developing and expanding innovative intellectual properties. Nichiporchik acknowledged Red Cerberus’ role in their progress and appreciated the team’s dedication. With resources redirected towards their core projects, TinyBuild looks forward to optimizing long-term revenue through new game releases, and they have high expectations for games scheduled for 2025.
