Last week, Monster Hunter Wilds pre-orders surged to claim the third spot among Steam’s best performers. This leap, just before its February 28th debut, shows the high level of excitement fans have for this latest installment in Capcom’s popular action RPG series. It echoes a similar success from 2019 when Monster Hunter: World’s PC launch also ranked as a top contender.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 reclaimed the top position, pushing both it and Civilization 7 up a notch. Civilization 7 initially entered at number three upon its February 10 release, though its first-week performance might have been underrepresented due to limited data. In contrast, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 dropped to fourth place despite surpassing two million sales, while Apex Legends made an impressive climb of 22 positions to land fifth, driven by the launch of a new season of content.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Valve’s Steam Deck, along with PUBG: Battlegrounds and Marvel Rivals, each slipped a spot to sixth, seventh, and eighth respectively. The new RPG from Obsidian, Avowed, made a notable entry at ninth, and Warframe returned to the Top Ten by moving up two places.
Here’s a breakdown of the Steam Top Ten for the week ending February 18th:
