Capcom is bringing some exciting news for fans of classic games: they’re giving Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny a fresh coat of paint and releasing it on the Nintendo Switch.
This game, a direct follow-up to Onimusha: Warlords, scored big back in the day, selling a whopping 2.1 million copies and becoming the top-selling title in its series.
At the heart of the story is Jubei Yagyu, a new hero driven by revenge. His character in the game draws inspiration from the late Yusaku Matsuda, a renowned Japanese actor celebrated in the 1980s.
This remastered edition stays true to the game’s original atmosphere and gameplay mechanics but now comes packed with modern updates and improvements that make it a treat for players on today’s consoles.
Eager players can look forward to grabbing Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny digitally on the Nintendo eShop as it rolls out globally for the Nintendo Switch in 2025.
