Capcom recently confirmed that its eagerly awaited action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds, will come enhanced for the PS5 Pro right from its launch on February 28, 2025. While they’ve spilled the beans about this exciting news, Capcom has chosen to keep the specifics under wraps for now. However, they have given us a glimpse into the graphical and resolution benchmarks for the console.
## Monster Hunter Wilds: A New Addition to the PS5 Pro Enhanced Games Roster
In a recent update to the gaming community, Capcom revealed that the standard PS5 version of Monster Hunter Wilds will sport two modes: ‘Prioritize Graphics’ and ‘Prioritize Framerate.’ The first will deliver output and rendering resolutions of 3840 x 2160 or 3072 x 1728, running at 30 frames per second. Meanwhile, the latter mode will provide resolutions of 3840 x 2160 or 1920 x 1080, operating at a smooth 60 frames per second.
On social media platform X, Capcom addressed how they’ve been tackling issues brought to light during the Open Beta Test. They’ve assured fans that improvements are in the pipeline, setting the stage for a smoother launch.
During the open beta phase, players voiced concerns about the game’s performance. The PC version, in particular, seemed to be the most notorious in terms of glitches. Capcom has had its share of challenges in the past, notably with Dragon’s Dogma 2, where the PS5 performance needed fine-tuning. The PS5 Pro update for that title didn’t quite hit the mark, which adds to the relief that Monster Hunter Wilds is receiving attention well ahead of its debut. By working on the PS5 Pro patch prior to release, developers are giving themselves the necessary time to iron out any kinks.
