Get ready for a classic engineering challenge heading to the Quest platform this week. Bridge Constructor Studio is rolling out a series of bridge-building puzzles, and this time, it’s immersing you in both virtual and mixed reality on Quest devices.
Originally planned for release last week, Bridge Constructor Studio had a slight delay but is now set to hit the scene on December 12th. This engaging simulation is coming to the Quest in VR, allowing players to craft, test, and refine bridges right in mixed reality with Quest 3. It might have taken a bit longer to drop, but the wait is certainly worth it.
The game proudly offers 70 intricate puzzles in its campaign mode. Your mission? Successfully ferry various vehicles from start to finish using a combination of materials such as wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roads.
Unlike earlier flat-screen editions of Bridge Constructor or its rival, Poly Bridge, this extended reality version won’t immediately restrict you with budgets or material quotas. However, if you’re up for a challenge, toggle these constraints on to unlock some “special awards,” as the developers suggest.
Besides the campaign, Bridge Constructor Studio offers a Scenario Creation Mode. In this sandbox, you can craft and tackle your own bridge-building challenges, saving up to 40 unique levels to your player profile for future tinkering.
ClockStone STUDIO, the brains behind this venture, also brought us both the flat-screen and XR versions of LEGO Bricktales (2023) along with previous iterations of Bridge Constructor, with the inaugural release back in 2011.
The game will be priced at $10 and launches exclusively for Quest 2 and 3 on December 12th. Head over to the Horizon Store to check it out.
