The release date for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been shifted once more, now set for February 4, 2025. Interestingly, this is a week earlier than the previous date that was announced back in August, when the launch had been pushed to February 11, 2025. This change makes the new release both ahead and behind schedule by a week—a curious combination indeed.
This update came via a tweet and video from Warhorse Studios, featuring global PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling. He delivered the news with a casual note, saying, “it is what it is,” and mentioned that a fresh story trailer is being released today, December 5.
Stolz-Zwilling also revealed that the game has “gone gold,” meaning it’s nearly complete, with the team focused on final optimizations and bug fixes. This development is sure to be music to the ears of eager fans who have had the game on their Steam wishlist.
The official tweet from Warhorse Studios announced: “Big news: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will arrive at your homes on FEBRUARY 4TH 2025!⚔️ With the release date pushing one week forward, we have a bunch of more exciting news coming in the following days. Brand new Story trailer drops Tomorrow on December 5. PC and Console…” The tweet also included a promise of more exciting updates in the coming days.
As the game reaches its final stages, Stolz-Zwilling shared that the PC and console specifications will be revealed alongside today’s trailer. There are additional treats for console gamers, including enhancements for the PS5 Pro, as well as quality and performance modes for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
Reflecting on his first impressions, Connor noted in a preview from the summer, “It’s very similar to the first game, but of a higher quality. There’s less jank, less needless frustration. It looks better, it plays better, and there’s more to do and more ways to do it. After only a few hours of gameplay, I can’t call it a home run yet, but it’s definitely shaping up well. The setup feels just right for a satisfying hit.”
