Canadian game development studio Worlds Untold has announced a temporary halt in its operations.

In a recent LinkedIn update, the studio revealed that it is actively searching for a new partnership. Worlds Untold made its debut in the gaming scene in November 2023, led by Mac Walters, a seasoned veteran from BioWare. At its inception, the studio received backing from the Chinese gaming powerhouse, NetEase. We have reached out to NetEase for further insight into the current status of this collaboration.

“This was not a decision we made lightly—it’s been a deeply personal journey, and we’re all so proud of everything this team has built together,” expressed Worlds Untold in their heartfelt LinkedIn post.
