The Nintendo Switch has truly taken the gaming world by storm, showing that you don’t always need the most powerful machine to create something special. By blending Nintendo’s beloved first-party games with a strong lineup of high-profile third-party releases and a treasure trove of indie games, the Switch boasts a game collection that rivals almost any other platform out there when it comes to both quality and quantity.
In the last ten years, few games have reached the heights of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. Yet, it’s possible that the greatest Switch title is just around the corner. The years 2022 and 2023 were filled with standout moments for Nintendo consoles. In 2023 alone, fans were treated to exclusives like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Metroid Prime Remastered, Pikmin 4, Super Mario Wonder, and Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp. Heading into 2024, we’ve already seen exclusives featuring iconic characters like Princess Peach and Zelda.
Let’s dive into the major anticipated titles coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2024 and beyond, focusing primarily on North American release dates.

### November 2024 Nintendo Switch Games
#### Mario & Luigi, Farmagia, & More
November 2024 has really shaped up nicely, thanks in large part to the announcements made during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. Among the new arrivals is Mario & Luigi: Brothership, an RPG that shines the spotlight on the gaming world’s favorite brothers. Recently, Nintendo has been emphasizing the RPG roots of the series, offering well-received remakes and remasters that stay true to the spirit of the originals. Brothership is Mario’s first unique RPG adventure in about ten years, excluding The Origami King, which is enjoyable, but not quite a traditional RPG. While Brothership may not redefine the franchise, it’s a commendable addition.
Of course, Brothership isn’t the only game making waves this November. Farmagia offers a unique mix of monster training and farming, while Square Enix has released the visually stunning Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. And for those looking for something different, Lego Horizon Adventures delivers a fun spin on the Horizon Zero Dawn series.
Some notable releases kicking off November: Aero the Acro-Bat: Rascal Rival Revenge, A Walk With Yiayia, CAFE 0 ~The Sleeping Beast~ REMASTERED, Farmagia, and others like Giant Rush and Mars Survivor, to mention a few. As we move through the month, we see diverse releases like Metal Slug Tactics, The Alchemist of Ars Magna, and, of course, Mario & Luigi: Brothership on November 7. The list continues with titles like Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Expanded Edition, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, and Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake released on November 14, followed by The Rise of the Golden Idol and Tetris Forever on November 12.
### December 2024 Nintendo Switch Games
#### Fairy Tail, Legacy of Kain & More
As 2024 winds down, December doesn’t promise many releases post mid-month. However, Switch owners can still look forward to projects like the remaster of the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver games. Fairy Tail 2 is also on the horizon, along with the promising Fantasia Neo Dimension from Square Enix.
Early December brings us titles like Wobbly Life, 2weistein in Asban, and Sinvers on Wheels. As we approach December 5, look out for Fantasia Neo Dimension, Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer, and Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island. Then on December 10, brace for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind.
### Games with No Exact Date or December Dates for 2024
While many titles are planned for the future, numerous Nintendo Switch games have penciled in for 2024 without specific release dates. These might release before the end of the year, although nothing is set in stone.
From BZZZT and Captain Blood to the much-anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s editions, and games like Front Mission 3 and The Gecko Gods, there’s plenty to keep an eye on.
### January 2025 Nintendo Switch Games
#### Donkey Kong Country, Tales & More
January 2025 appears unusually busy, offering a wide assortment of RPGs, platformers, and even a Star Wars title. For RPG enthusiasts, Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana and Tales of Graces f Remastered present excellent opportunities, especially with the latter’s renowned combat system.
The dominant talk of the month is Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, the enhanced version of the 2010 Wii classic. Though new features seem scarce, the core gameplay remains top-notch.
Starting on January 7 with Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, the month moves to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16 and Tales of Graces f Remastered on January 17. The month promises a strong lineup concluding with titles like Cuisineer and Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos.
### February 2025 Nintendo Switch Games
#### Civilization, Tomb Raider & More
The Switch’s lineup for February 2025 might not rival that of PS5 or Xbox Series X, but there’s still much to anticipate. Civilization 7 leads the charge, hoping to captivate audiences with its legendary 4X gameplay.
Remember, while Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered covers some of Lara Croft’s less popular entries, fan expectations remain optimistic especially regarding Angel of Darkness’s necessary overhauls.
Expect releases like Morsels early in the month, with Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 launching February 11, followed by Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered on February 14. February 20 brings Bubble Ghost Remake and Godzilla Voxel Wars.
### Looking Beyond February 2025
As we enter the spring of 2025, releases like Little Nightmares 3 and Pokémon Legends: Z-A continue to stoke anticipation. Despite a full slate of announcements, most of these titles lack a definitive release window.
Titles from Arachnappid to Capcom Fighting Collection2 hover uncertainly, showcasing a vast array of adventures and challenges awaiting players, from nostalgic remasters to bold new universes yet to be explored.
