Inin Games Acquires Publishing Rights for Shenmue 3

Inin Games, known for their focus on classic titles, has now taken over the publishing rights for Shenmue 3. This new venture comes on the heels of their collaboration with YsNet, the developers behind Shenmue 3, on the game Air Twister.

Shenmue 3, a long-awaited installment in the much-praised Shenmue franchise, finally hit the shelves in 2019 following its initial announcement back in 2015. Initially, the publishing duties were managed by Deep Silver.

In a recent statement, Inin Games expressed their enthusiasm: “It’s a tremendous honor for us at Inin Games to take up the mantle of Shenmue during such a pivotal time for the series,” they shared.

Reflecting on the series’ legacy, they added, “After two decades of groundbreaking storytelling and passion, we’re committed to keeping Ryo Hazuki’s journey alive for both loyal fans and those discovering it anew.”

The company assures that with this shift in publishers, Shenmue’s narrative is far from reaching its conclusion. “We have thrilling plans in store to celebrate Shenmue’s heritage. Our efforts will ensure that this cherished series continues to thrive and inspire countless more adventures.
