One of the reasons the Silent Hill series has remained etched in fans’ memories long after its golden era is its treasure trove of hidden mysteries. The games are brimming with eerie discoveries, and the recent remake of Silent Hill 2 is no exception. Gamers quickly stumbled upon a hidden message that even the developers considered too tricky to decode. This message contributes to the popular theory that James Sunderland, the protagonist, is caught in a time loop. Now, more hidden messages have come to light, and they seem to add fuel to that very theory.
A YouTube channel run by Shiba recently uploaded a video unveiling the first hidden message. The narration explains, “There’s a message emanating from a TV in Brookhaven Hospital, sending out Morse code. The sound is mostly masked by TV static, making it tough to catch. Yet, the Morse code is distinctive, with a clicking sound reminiscent of a telegraph. The louder clicks signal the start, while softer ones mark the end. By listening intently, we can interpret the message.” That message? “Again and.” This Morse code transmission loops endlessly in the background, nodding once again to the time loop theory.
Meanwhile, another Morse code message has been detected on a TV in the Woodside Apartments. This one spells out, “why did you do it James?” For those who haven’t experienced the original or the remake, I won’t spoil the surprise, but veterans of the game will definitely get it.
