Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the exclusive Quest title Real VR Fishing, are gearing up to cast wider nets by launching their beloved VR fishing simulator on PC VR headsets soon.
Fans can look forward to the game landing on SteamVR headsets in early December. The PC version will maintain the same price structure and gameplay that Quest users have enjoyed, including the availability of all its DLCs—such as the US West Coast, US East Coast, and both parts of the Japan DLC—right from launch.
At its core, the base game brings anglers to 40 unique fishing spots and introduces them to over 150 species of fish. But when you dive into those additional DLC packs, you’ll have access to 95 more spectacular locations and the opportunity to catch more than 300 different fish.
On the Quest platform, Real VR Fishing offers both solo adventures and multiplayer sessions for up to four players. However, the developers have confirmed to Road to VR that the upcoming Steam version won’t include cross-play multiplayer across Quest, Pico, and PC VR systems.
This Steam debut isn’t just a simple port; it’s packing extras like integrated YouTube and web browsing capabilities alongside monthly updates and options for customizing your aquarium.
Since its initial release on Quest in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has hooked gamers, becoming the top fishing title on the platform and earning a stellar 4.6 out of 5 user rating from over 7,200 players.
If you’re eager to reel it in, you can add Real VR Fishing to your Steam wishlist ahead of its anticipated early December release.
