A buzz stirred recently when Christopher Judge, the voice behind Kratos, hinted at a potential God of War announcement. But hold on to your shields – there’s nothing official on the horizon just yet.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a couple of years since the epic saga of God of War Ragnarok was unleashed. Naturally, this has left fans hungry for more from the creative minds at Santa Monica Studio. While there hasn’t been an official peep about a new installment, excitement was recently ignited during an Instagram live session with Christopher Judge. The actor spun quite the web of speculation when he mentioned, “The next two weeks are going to be packed with announcements and all kinds of exciting stuff,” and teased a major reveal for December 1st. Naturally, this got the rumor mills working overtime as fans speculated about a new chapter in the God of War series.
But as gamers often do, some read too much into Judge’s words, assuming a big God of War reveal from Sony was imminent. However, reality struck when Judge took to Twitter to set the record straight. In a tweet, he clarified, “Absolutely not true! You can’t tease something you know nothing about.” He pointed out that while there are indeed announcements on the way, they have nothing to do with God of War. Judge himself is also eager for updates on Kratos and company, just like the rest of us.
So, while there are some exciting announcements coming involving Christopher Judge, they won’t be about the legendary God of War universe. This is a bit of a letdown for those eager for more from Kratos and Atreus, so perhaps it’s time to dust off the old games and dive back into the past adventures. Those hoping for news will just have to hang tight a little longer – perhaps it’s a good time for a gaming marathon in the meantime!
