Just weeks into its debut, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is already rolling out an impressive arsenal of post-launch goodies with its first season. Players are diving into fresh multiplayer maps, exploring intriguing new game modes, and discovering fresh content in Call of Duty: Warzone. Unlike its predecessor, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 6 hasn’t sidelined its Zombies mode this time around.
In an exciting turn of events, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Season 1 has welcomed the much-anticipated Directed Mode for Zombies. This feature offers a more guided experience for players eager to unravel the main Easter eggs of Terminus and Liberty Falls. As we anticipate the mid-season update, even more content is promised for the Zombies mode. The highlight? A captivating new map, Citadelle des Morts, alongside a novel Wonder Weapon and a new type of enemy. But there’s another buzzword in the official roadmap – a new “Perk-a-Cola” is set to join the Zombies roster. This familiar-sounding term has sparked speculation that an old favorite might make a surprising comeback. Some potential candidates are already waiting in the wings.
Interestingly, a handful of Perks have found their way out through leaks about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Zombies enhancements. However, enthusiasts need to approach these rumors with caution. Some whispers suggest these data-mined Perks were initially planned for the game’s launch but got shelved. Right now, five enticing Perks are rumored for Black Ops 6:
– Vulture Aid
– Double Tap
– Mule Kick
– Death Perception
– Tombstone
Vulture Aid first mesmerized players back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, albeit on just a single Zombies map — a rarity considering its exciting abilities. This unique Perk allowed players to spot wall weapons, the Pack-a-Punch machine, and the Mystery Box through walls. Zombies occasionally dropped little ammo pouches offering about 10% of the magazine’s capacity, as well as bonus points and a gas cloud granting temporary invisibility from enemies.
A staple from the early days, Double Tap hasn’t been part of the mix since Black Ops 3. Originally, it sped up a player’s firing rate. But its 2.0 version in Black Ops 2 and 3 introduced a cool twist: each round fired would count as two, effectively doubling weapon damage. Meanwhile, Mule Kick remains a cherished Perk, allowing players to carry an additional weapon.
Death Perception, a more recent addition, hasn’t impressed many fans. It simply lets players see zombies through walls, which doesn’t compare to more powerful Perks. Tombstone, however, is a love-it-or-hate-it choice. It lets players regain their Perks and weapons post-mortem, which can be a real lifesaver.
Coming to both Liberty Falls and Terminus in Black Ops 6, the new Zombies Perk will be accessible via the Wunderfizz machine.
Only one Perk will get the spotlight in Zombies Season 1, though. While Vulture Aid’s comeback would certainly delight fans, versatile choices like Double Tap and Mule Kick might ultimately be more beneficial for players seeking a new Season 1 Perk.
Set amid the backdrop of early ’90s geopolitics, Black Ops 6 is an engaging spy-thriller developed by Treyarch and Raven, where the lines between friend and foe blur in a post-Cold War world. This immersive narrative promises dynamic, action-packed gameplay, with players engaging in everything from high-stakes heists to delicate espionage missions.
Multiplayer action in Black Ops 6 is a treat, offering 16 brand-new maps that push your tactical skills to the limit. These include 12 core 6v6 maps and four more accommodating both 2v2 and 6v6 skirmishes. Meanwhile, true to tradition, the beloved Round-Based Zombies mode makes its grand return, ramping up the challenge with two new maps at launch. Players can expect even more surprises and new experiences as post-launch content continues to roll out.
